Just a short podcast from Pappy’s to ask if you’d vote for them in the Chortle Awards. They’ve been nominated in three categories: ‘Character or Sketch Act’, ‘Best Show’ and (most importantly in Producer Ben’s opinion) ‘Best Internet’ for Flatshare Slamdown.

If you enjoy Flatshare Slamdown and can spare literally a minute to cast your vote we’d all be very grateful. But hurry! The deadline is Wednesday 6th March at 10am. Given we are posting this late there is every chance that by the time you read this it will be too late! It’s actually happening! Our new sitcom, Secret Dude Society, is being filmed in Glasgow in front of a live audience. You can be part of that audience by following this link and applying for tickets. If you are a fan of our stuff (and can get to Glasgow on any of these dates) please come along. We want the studio to be filled with friendly Pappy’s supporters.

The Secret Dude Society is a brand new BBC Three sitcom written and performed byPappy’s, the hilarious comedy trio, much loved around the UK for their inventive live shows and podcasts.

Outrageous, ridiculous, and with an anarchic streak, the show follows flatmates Tom, Ben and Matthew on a series of adventures that lead them to the brink of death, imprisonment, or even worldwide fame.

As children, Tom, Ben and Matthew made a pact that their gang, Secret Dude Societywould live together when they grew up. Now in their late 20s, they find themselves doing just that. But this isn’t a conventional flatshare. Instead it’s a springboard for a series of unexpected schemes: transforming the flat into a pop up restaurant, launching a new dance anthem into the charts or re-enacting the French Revolution (to list just a few).

Pappy’s are Tom Parry, Ben Clark and Matthew Crosby: regulars on the UK comedy circuit, this year their fringe show Pappy’s Last Show Ever garnered a string of five star reviewsand a nomination for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award.

The show also stars Emer Kenny as Matthew’s sister Rachel, and Jack Docherty as their boss, Carabine.

Recorded at the Pleasance during the Edinburgh Fringe 2012, this episode has it all… Tom delivering a true ‘festival moment’, Ben telling an awful anecdote, Jason’s truly unforgettable impersonation of a famous pacifist, Rhys suggesting they all play a game of ‘Escape From Cold Tits’ and Matthew revealing that he doesn’t like ice in his bottom.
